If you're a coffee lover wandering the vibrant streets of Montréal, make sure to carve out some time to visit Le Labo des Saveurs, nestled at 8655 Rue de Grosbois. This charming café offers more than just coffee; it’s a haven for those who appreciate the art of fresh juices, mouthwatering pastries, and expertly crafted sandwiches.

What sets Le Labo des Saveurs apart is the palpable passion and creativity infused into every item. As one enthusiastic customer, Hanan Dakik, noted, Jonathan, the mastermind behind the counter, pours “so much love” into his creations. You’ll be greeted with the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods that wrap around you like a cozy embrace.

Imagine sipping on a perfectly crafted mocha while indulging in a buttery, flaky croissant—each bite melts in your mouth, leaving you craving more. The café is not just about the caffeine fix; it also serves a delightful array of pastries and sandwiches, all made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. Thierry Claveau raved about their croissants, describing them as “buttery as they should be.” This attention to detail is evident in every aspect of Le Labo des Saveurs, from the kitchen to the front of the house.

The ambiance is equally inviting, with a cute decor that feels both homey and eclectic—ideal for a casual catch-up with friends or a cozy solo retreat. A standout mention comes from Zakiya Saigo, a visitor who appreciated the patience and helpful suggestions provided by the staff, even when encountering language barriers. This level of service is consistent; another customer, Rachel Beaudet, was amazed at the lengths the staff will go to ensure that no customer feels unwelcomed, even when the doors were closing.

Not only does Le Labo des Saveurs serve delightful food, but it also prides itself on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. As Tanya Roberts, a long-time patron, points out, the employees are delightful, offering a seriously great selection of goodies with immense respect for customers, especially during current times.

Whether you're in the mood for a quick takeaway of fresh juices or a leisurely stop to savor coffee and pastries, Le Labo des Saveurs checks all the boxes. This is not just a café; it’s an experience—one that truly represents the love for food, community, and creativity that resonates through Montréal.

So the next time you find yourself around 8655 Rue de Grosbois, don’t just walk by—step in, embrace the aroma, and let the talented staff treat you to a delightful culinary experience that you won’t soon forget.

Jonathan is truly passionate about his work. He pours so much love and creativity into everything he makes. The result? Excellent coffee and mouthwatering pastries and sandwiches, all made fresh on-site. He is also polite, patient, and professional, always open-minded and welcoming of suggestions. Exceptional service through and through.

i went to get a water bottle, unaware the café had just closed! the employee present still opened his doors to sell us a water bottle, with a huge smile. he was extremely friendly and kind. definitely recommending this place for this unrequired, but absolutely outstanding service. :)

Best cafe I have ever been to. Was visiting from out of province and came her twice. With different employees we had the same amazing experience. Patience with our poor French, suggestions on what to have based on our cravings and of course delicious pastries. We we even provided samples and details on how everything is made from scratch. If you're in Montreal, its a must visit!

Best croissant, buttery as they should be. Great mission to share the value of work with the younger generation.

I’m always a sucker for coffee shops with pastries baked on site. Jo knows what he’s doing. He’s incredibly creative and you can taste these in the products. Perhaps I came in late, and so, a lot of the shelves were empty (I mean this is a good sign). What I did have was tasty, my Chou was a bit stale - but this may really just me grabbing the last of the food (it may have been sitting out all day) and is my own fault. Next time I’ll go earlier. I’m sure they’ll taste fresher.
